Summary
This was my second time here. The first visit was in 2015.
I went back for the fun cliff jumps, white sand beaches, beautiful sunsets, and the really beautiful marine sanctuary I discovered recently.
Dumaguete, Valencia, and Manjuyod in Negros Oriental are the perfect sidetrips for Siquijor.

Why choose this place?
ποΈ Just cross the street to go to the beach
π₯ There are restaurants, a coffee shop, and an ATM just beside and in front of the entrance
π Has a private pool
π Sustainable. They donβt offer toiletries but you can buy from their convenience store or you can just bring your own. No more bloated complimentary toiletries to avoid trash. Thatβs why the island is so beautiful and clean!

π Siquijor has one of the best sunsets in the Philippines that doesn't need a filter.
πͺ The beach has a tree swing so you donβt have to go to Paliton Beach
π΄ Sleep Early
π Ready your travel essentials
π If you read my previous guides, you know that I love to sleep early to start early to avoid the crowd.

Day 2: Lazi Tour
If you know how to drive a scooter, rent one so you can go anywhere you want and without time pressure. π΅ (See the contacts on the summary)
Otherwise, you can also book the tour via Klook.
π¦ Cambugahay Falls
β±οΈ Cambugahay Falls open at 8AM and there's an entrance fee of P20
π We were too excited that we arrived at 7AM to avoid the crowd so we had to wait for an hour.
πΆ Guide is optional if you want someone to take your photos and take care of your things. Thereβs no standard rate. Just give them a tip.
π· For the famous human drone, hire Kuya Alvin (+639550194472 and +639269965726). He actually got featured on KMJS. You need to pay P100 for the balsa plus a tip for taking the photos. Thereβs no standard rate also. Tip them well coz they are really good.
β Twenty-Four Cafe
- This is the restaurant beside the entrance of the Cambugahay Falls
- Sample order: Pork Humba (P170) and French Press Brewed Coffee (P85)
π Lazi Church and Convent
βͺοΈ Lazi Church and Convent Museum are facing in front of each other
π΅ Youβll pass by here on the way to Cambugahay Falls but better if you visit on the way back.
πΈ The convent museum has a P20 entrance fee for the upkeep of the place.
π Saint Francis of Assisi Church
- Where you can find the popular βWelcome to Siquijorβ sign
- You can actually visit this upon arrival as this is just located outside of the port to officially welcome your arrival.
π RUNIK Siquijor Beach Club

Day 3: Siquijor Loop
You can explore the entire island in just a day using a scooter. We started the trip early. Fortunately, Balete Tree opens from 6AM to 6PM.
π³ Fish Spa + 400-Year-Old Enchanted Balete Tree
π This is so much fun but not for the ticklish
π Fish will eat the dead skin on your feet
π€― The Balete Tree is already 400 years old
π» The tree is believed to be the home of mythical creatures such as βdwendeβ or elves, βtikbalangβ or horse demons, and βdiwataβ or fairies
π΅ Entrance fee: P20
π§Ή Hapitanan Broomstick
π§Ή Attractions: Witch broomstick shot and a garden with the Bali-inspired circular wooden chair
π· Photographer fee is just donation based
β You can eat breakfast here
π΅ Sample order: Tapsilog (P95) and ice coffee (P120)
π Salagdoong Beach Resort
π The resort is currently being renovated and there's no entrance fee.
π· All you can do is take photos and enjoy the view. You canβt swim also.
π During my first visit in 2015, I was able to enjoy the following activities:
- 20ft and 30ft platform jumps
- Swim on its transparent blue water
- Chill on the white sand beach
- Foodtrip at their restaurant
- There were rooms also if you want to stay here
Iβm hoping that the resort reopens by the time you visit. π
π₯ Lunch at Larena Triad Coffee Shop
- Julia Barreto ate here.
- Sample order: Bulalo (P350), garlic rice (P30), and Special Halo-halo (P120)

- Good food
- Hangout with cute and clingy dogs
Sample order: Salt and Pepper Wings (P200), Calamari (P175), Rice (P30)
π» JJ's Backpackers Village
ποΈ A nightlife place in front of the beach.
π This is my favorite place to party in Siquijor.
πΈ They have live bands.
π The place gets crowded on Fridays or Saturdays which is a good thing. Parties won't be fun without the crowd.
π So many AFAMs here! Your time to shine if you're finding one. Para sa bayan!
πΊ A beer is only P90 per bottle.

Day 4: Snorkel and Chill Day
π€Ώ Tubod Marine Sanctuary
β΄οΈ The initial plan was to visit Apo Island after Siquijor and Dumaguete which will cost you around P5,000+ for the commute, boat transfers, and guide.
π€― But we discovered that there are sea turtles in Siquijor which is the main attraction of Apo Island so we decided to do it here in Siquijor. Plus, youβll save P4,500+ if you do it in Siquijor.
β Itβs only P100 entrance fee and P300 for the guide to help you navigate and shoot underwater videos. I brought my gear but thereβs a snorkel and fins rental at only P300.
π€Ώ Rico Sumagang was our awesome guide! Unfortunately, he doesn't have a phone. But you can contact his friend (+639531663679)
π₯ Mr. Sumo
π―π΅ In case you're craving Japanese food, this place is for you.
π Sample order: Shoyu Ramen (P330)
π€ I initially thought this was candy and sauce. I found out that it was a tissue and water for the face.
π Checkout from Golden Sunset Inn (Book Here)
